Understanding hospital experiences across city neighborhoods

The challenge

Citywide measures can hide differences in how people experience healthcare. The association needed a clearer view of trust, access, and hospital experiences across the city's wards.

How we approached it

We conducted mobile-friendly research across every ward, including Medicaid recipients and communities facing barriers to care. Community listening sessions in English, Spanish, and Amharic added context to the survey findings.

The work explored issues such as transportation, language access, and whether people felt heard by providers.

What the research informed

The association received recurring benchmarks and neighborhood-level findings to support decisions about community outreach, access to care, and service priorities.
